These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Inki mobile application ("App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. About Inki

Inki is an offline-first personal reading journal that lets you catalog books, organize shelves, track reading sessions and progress, save notes, quotes, ratings, and bookmarks, and optionally pin reading locations on a private book map. All data you enter is stored locally on your device. Inki has no user accounts, requires no online login, and runs no developer-operated server or cloud sync.

2. Eligibility

You must meet the minimum age required to form a binding contract in your country of residence (and in any case be at least 13 years old) to use Inki. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

3. Getting Started

There is no sign-up, password, or server-side account. When you first open Inki, you simply begin adding books and organizing your library on your device. Your data and identity within the App are tied entirely to the device you install Inki on.

Important: Because Inki stores everything locally and offers no cloud backup or multi-device sync, if you delete the App or reset your device without exporting your data first, your data will be permanently lost. You can export your data using the backup feature in Settings → export all data and re-import it on another device.

4. Price

Inki is provided free of charge. It contains no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or paid features, and we do not collect any payment from you. If this ever changes, these Terms will be updated and the change disclosed before any charge applies.

5. Your Content and Data

All books, shelves, reading sessions, notes, quotes, photos, ratings, bookmarks, and map pins you create or import in Inki belong to you. We do not claim ownership over your content, and we have no access to it because it never leaves your device except as you direct.

You are solely responsible for:
